Default [Suggestion] Expansion combo for all GW games

…The gods heard his pleas, and they intervened.

The forging of the world was complete. As their final act, the gods gathered back their gift of magic from all the races and trapped it inside a tall stone. They smashed the stone into five parts. Four equal but opposing stones of magic, and one keystone. Without the keystone, the other four couldn’t be reassembled.

Each of the first four stones was the embodiment of a specific school of magic: preservation, destruction, aggression, and denial. Magic would still exist in the world, but the devastating power of all four types together would never again be at the command of one single creature. Those who accepted the gift would have to cooperate if they intended to use it to the fullest.

[they dropped the bloodstones into a volcano, there was peace, blah blah blah, etc.]

…As is ever the case of peace, it once again came to an end when the volcano erupted, spitting out the five stones and scattering them across Tyria. The magic they embodied seeped out into the lands around them. Though the Bloodstones, as they are called, have never been reunited, the power that they possess was enough to re-ignite the desire for power in the hearts of men.

[there was war, blah blah blah, until the Charr came which reunited all the Tyrian kingdoms and screwed over Orr…]

From the original Guild Wars Manual

OK, so, after Anet finishes Nightfall, Chapter 4, and all other chapters they might release, I have an idea for an {expansion} that will only be available to players that own every single Guild Wars title:

Menziel… has returned.
Many are the days since Baalthazar betrayed his half-brother and became the sole patron of the Fissure of Woe. Many are the days Menziel has plotted for his revenge. Menziel believes the time is NOW, to regain his power, and rule the Fissure of Woe in his eternal tyranny, and be worshipped by humans walking the earth.

Menziel is wandering the corporeal world now, searching for the Bloodstones scattered by the volcano’s eruption. You must travel throughout the lands of Tyria, Cantha, Elona, (chapter 4 place here, etc.) to stop him.

[I will only fill in the parts for the chapters we have seen: Prophecies, and Factions]

Your first stop is in Tyria, the winter city of Droknar’s Forge. The Dragon Glint wishes to have a word with you, and explains the current situation. She wants you to meet Mhenlo, Nika (my guess on who is going to carry on into Nightfall from Factions {if not her, then whoever is going to carry on}), and all the other “main” storyline NPCs from the different chapters at the Great Temple of Baalthazar (could be the SAME outpost, but also could be a new one dedicated for this expansion). Here, you will meet all your friends and try to plot out how you will prevent Menziel from succeeding.

Your next stop, and your first mission will be at Bloodstone Fen (not the original mission, a new one). You have to get through all the remaining White Mantle and Mursaat (infused armor would be nice :P ), angry at your betrayal, and destroy the Bloodstone before Menziel reaches it. You go through, kill off the Mantle and Mursaat, and find out that you are too late. Menziel has one of the 5 bloodstones.

You go back to the Great Temple of Baalthazar, and find out Baalthazar himself is awaiting you audience. He tells you of a time where he scattered all the remaining Bloodstones past Tyria, in fear of the Guild Wars succeeding. He gives you the location of the next Bloodstone: the Aurios Mines. You go there, to a new “mission” Aurios Mines and view a flashback cinematic showing Baalthazar just tossing a bloodstone into the sea, then a “current” cinematic where the Luxons are digging the Bloodstone up, and Menziel’s forces arriving at a…”dramatic” timing.

You have to fend off Menziel’s forces for around 20 minutes, and when you think that every last one of them is destroyed, Menziel arrives. You are taken into a cinematic. You see him killing every last one of you, with you guys not even putting up a fight. Like right after when Shiro killed you, the rift envoys give you your mortality again, and hope you destroy Menziel. You head back to the Great Temple of Baalthazar, where once again Baalthazar awaits you.

Next stop: Elona. And after that, the other Expansion Continents.

That’s pretty much all I have, seeing only 2 Guild Wars chapters have been released. My idea is Menziel will take 2 more soulstones, and then after that, Baalthazar will send you to the tiny pillaged Islands that are Orr’s only remains that have not been submerged to look for a scroll (to grant you some protection from Menziel). After that, they have a big face-off with Menziel at the last Bloodstone (also the keystone), and if you complete the mission and kill Menziel, (ok, this might not be too good of an idea, but it’s the only thing that I can imagine would be worth buying all the Guild Wars expansions and completing THIS said expansion), Baalthazar will grant you access WHENEVER you want (with or WITHOUT favor) to the Fissure of Woe (with that character).

Ideas? Comments? Suggestions?

It's a nice idea, but i doubt it would be done for the fact it differs from the fact they don't want expansions, just stand alones

I like the idea, and I think Anet should rethink its strategy of making stand alones and calling them chapters. Chapters usually mean something that continue from the previous chapter, even though its not apperant how the chapters tie up, untill later on.

Abandoning good & well liked story archs, is to me a wierd line of thought -especially when they are left unfinished with to many loose ends.

Guildwars plots really need some tie ups & Im not the only one that want to hear more of the unifished tales of the Bloodstones, Ascalon, The Charrs, etc.

So basically an exclusive realm / level / world that constantly updated as long as the players owns all of the expansions or multiple ones...

Not sure how I feel but I doubt anet will do it, it goes against the you don't have to buy every chapter to play GW, just play what you want.
